Gladys Hero, 68, of Carriere passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, La.

The funeral services will be held Monday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Way with the Rev. Mike Jackson, the Rev. Bill Jackson, and the Rev. Dale Claybaugh officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9 from 6-9 p.m. at Church of the Way. Burial will be at Sones Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Gladys, former resident of Denham Springs, La., was a retired paralegal and a member of Church of the Way.

She is survived by two sons, William Smith and Duane Smith, both of Poplarville; one sister, Sue Hartman of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother Jim Hero of Amarillo, Texas, and four grandchildren.
