Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the New Palestine Baptist Church for George Ronald Burk, 59, of Picayune, who passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in Picayune.

Cremation is under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

The Rev. Philip Caples will officiate at the service.

A native of Rayville, La., he was a sheetmetal mechanic and a member of the New Palestine Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Raegan Nelson of Picayune and Casey Brueske of Pensacola, Fla; three grandchildren, Cole, Caroline and Camille Nelson, all of Picayune; three brothers, Woodrow N. Burk of Bastrop, La., Maxie L. Burk of Lawton, Okla., and Thomas Burk of Orange, Texas.

There will be no visitation.
