I, Kevin Odom, am a native of Pearl River County, Mississippi, born in 1972.

I am striving to focus the Board of Supervisors of Pearl River County on the restructuring of the building codes now in effect for Pearl River County in order to benefit the people of Pearl River County. I am against the expansion of waste management fields. I am for improving our schools in order to give the children, the future of Pearl River County, the best education possible. I support the volunteer fire departments of this area and will work diligently with them to help them better serve the residents of Pearl River County.

I received my Associate of Applied Science Degree from Pearl River Community College. I was a business owner in Lumberton and I served as maintenance supervisor for Movie Star in Poplarville.

Following in my father and grandfather’s footsteps, I have pursued a career as an electrician and I am presently the managing member of Odom Brothers Air Conditioning, Heating and Electrical, where I have served the people of Pearl River County and surrounding areas.

Through my on the job experiences, which have specifically dealt with communicating directly with people, handling their concerns ,and managing multiple tasks, being elected as Supervisor Beat 2, would greatly benefit the people of Pearl River County. While possessing maturity, organizational skills, and the ability to embark on a career in a supervisor position, sharing these talents with you, the citizens of Pearl River County, would be a great honor for me.

Prior to announcing my candidacy for supervisor, I appeared before the Board of Supervisors regarding the new building code restrictions and requirements. I attended the meetings of the Board of Supervisors pleading with them to reconsider the building codes and restrictions and requesting that the Board think about the effects that these codes would have on you as the people of Pearl River County. If elected Supervisor of Beat 2, I will continue to listen to and be the voice of the people of this district and strive to implement changes that will benefit you, the residents of Pearl River County.

I am the son of Elby and Donnis Odom of Poplarville. The grandson of the late Albert and the late Irene Odom of Poplarville, and the grandson of the late Lloyd Ladner and Eva Ladner of Lumberton.

I am married to the former Kimberly Michelle Keen, of Mize. My wife has been employed in the legal field for eight years. We have been married for two years and reside in Poplarville. My family and I attend services at Lumberton Missionary Baptist Church.
