James Durwood Davis

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church for James Durwood Davis, 70, of Picayune who passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007 in Hattiesburg.

Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune.

The Rev. Bob Osbourn will officiate at the services, and will be assisted by The Rev. John P. Smith.

A native of Picayune, he was a Reprographics Engineer for Amaco and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Easter Landrum, of Gautheaux.

Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Anna Faye Davis, of Picayune; his father, J.C. Davis, of Oak View, CA.; three children, James Glyn (Pete) Davis, of Wiggins, Gina Davis Jones, of Ruston, La., Kelly Davis Dilliard, of Carriere; seven grandchildren, Msgt., Katie Davis, Jordan Davis, Ben Jones, Emma Jones, Candace Dillard Stewart, Paul Dillard and Savannah Dillard; two brothers, Burlon Davis and Mickey Davis, both of Picayune; one sister, Joannie Fuller, of Santa Barbara, CA.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church.
