Lila Mae Broome Feldman

Lila Mae Broome Feldman, 92, of Picayune, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Highland Community Hospital. A private funeral was held on June 12.

Lila was born in Charlotte, N.C. and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. as a child. She spent most of her adult life in South Florida. After high school she married her high school sweetheart, Leonard Feldman. She raised three children and then decided to travel the world. Over the course of the next fifty years she visited and shopped in the major cities of Europe and Asia.

In recent years, she took several cruises to Europe, the Greek Islands, and the Holy Land. Her last cruise was aboard the Queen Mary 2, when she was 90 years old. Ms. Feldman enjoyed seeing new things and experiencing cultures around the world.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Broome of Weaverville, N.C.; her sister, Jean Hall of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Marcia (Robert) Edenfield of Woodlands, Texas and Sandra (Ed) Martin of Clear Lake, Texas; a son, Bob Feldman of Carriere and partner, Richard Mole of New Orleans, La.; five grandchildren, Brian Edenfield of Woodlands, Texas, Robert Edenfield of Dallas, Texas, and Lori Wiecking of Munich, Germany, Donald Miltz of Atlanta, Ga., and Jennifer Corke of San Diego, Calif.; eleven great-grandchildren; her beloved Persian cat, Cleo, who resides with her son in New Orleans and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Feldman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Covenant Health and Rehab, where she resided for the past two years.
