Rufus Stephen Crosby, 73, of Picayune passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at Magnolia Personal Care Home. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, Biloxi, Miss. with Bro. Charles Clark officiating.

Rufus was a self-employed plumber, a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist. He loved to cook, never met a stranger and could fix anything.

He is survived by: six sons, Allen Sutherland, Bill Sutherland of Pensacola, Fla., Stephen Ray Crosby of Ellijay, Ga., James Kevin Crosby of Sarasota, Fla., Robert Wayne Crosby of Waveland, Miss, and David Allen Crosby of Ruth, Miss.; three daughters, Donna Floyd of Ocean Springs, Miss., Cheryl Tenney of Ellijay, and April Parker of Picayune; two sisters, Peggy Morris of Picayune and Susan Beran of Lafayette, La.; twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Louise Little for all her care, also the Magnolia Personal Care Home Staff and Greg Tillman of Deaconess Hospice.
