Picayune Elementary Beginning Band

Picayune Elementary Beginning Band, directed by Cindy Leggett, began the evening’s performance with “Cardiff Castle”, “Antiquitus”, and “First Concert Parade”.
The Junior High Band, directed by Cindy Leggett, played next with a delightful “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace”, along with Otis Redding’s “Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay”, “Shout”, Wallace and Gromit, and Music from Wicked.
Picayune Junior High Jazz Band performed next leading off their set with “So There!”. Johnathan Nguyen played a solo on his Tenor Sax. “Rubberband Man” came next with solos by Johnathan Nguyen, tenor sax; Ben Spikes, alto sax solo; and Maddison Keim, flute solo. Their third song was “When Dreams Come True” which highlighted Devin Clark, alto sax solo, and Jessie Matheson with a trumpet solo. Their last song was “Play That Funky Music”.
Picayune Memorial High School Symphonic Band, directed by Jerry Cumberland, led with “His Honor”, then “Freedoms Light, “Rolling Thunder”, and finally “Into The Storm”.
Under the direction of Anthony Seal, the band played “Jesus, Jesus Reat Your Head”, “The Light Eternal”, and ended the evening with the most patriotic march, “The Stars And Stripes Forever.”
The students showed remarkable talent, making the evening’s entertainment most enjoyable.
