Joseph David “Dave” Sansoni, 60, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at his residence in Carriere. The funeral service will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carriere on Saturday, June 2 at 12 noon with Bro. Kevin Neary officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Dave was born in Raceland, La., and moved to Carriere from Marrero, La., fourteen years ago. He was manager of the medical services at Avondale Shipyard, former owner of D’s Lawn Care, a U. S. Air Force veteran, member of the Anchor Lake Property Owner Association and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Leonor (Nora) Sansoni; parents, J. D. and Gladys Sansoni of Marrero; two daughters, Lisa (Craig) S. Tastet and Dina (Tee) S. Blanchard, both of Harvey, La; one brother, Gerald J. Sansoni, Sr., of Marrero; one sister, Judy (Larry) Guillot, of Marrero; and two grandchildren, Briana Tastet and Tharon Blanchard, Jr.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
