Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Howard E. Freeman, 83, of Picayune, who passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007 in Picayune.
Burial was held in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune.
The Rev. Kent McGeehee officiated at the service.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., he was an aerospace mechanic, a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and Unity Baptist Church. Mr. Freeman was retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service. He was also retired from Martin-Marietta where he worked in quality control.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Munn Freeman of Picayune; two children, Laura D. Wilson of Naches, Wash., and Howard (Skip) Glover of Warrier, Ala.; three step-daughters, Gail Roberts, and Johnda Hickey both of Denton, Texas and Diane Cooper of Picayune; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 10-11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
