Granville L. Pearson 82, of Picayune, MS passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Picayune.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11a.m. in the First Baptist Church In Picayune.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, MS. The Rev Dr. Keith Warden will be officiating.

Mr. Pearson in a native of Picayune and was a Realtor and a member of the First Baptist Church, Picayune, The American Legion and The Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also in The Pearl River Valley Railroad Assoc. Mr. Pearson owned and practiced real estate at Pearson Realty in Picayune until retirement. He was a W.W.II Naval Veteran and was active in the Normandy Invasion. He was an avid walker who loved to fish and dance and was a daily visitor to the local drugstore where he enjoyed the fellowship of his many friends.

He was survived by three sons, Rodney Pearson, Picayune, Ray Pearson, Texas and Jonathan Pearson, California; One daughter, Janice Pearson, Jackson, MS.; One brother, Neville Pearson, Leetown Community; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Audrey Marie Smith Pearson; One sister, Audrey Pearson Shaw and a brother, Orville Pearson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. In the McDonald Funeral Home.

McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, MS. is in charge of the arrangements.
