Community Service Day held by AARP local chapter

AARP Chapter 1717 held the annual day of service at the Magnolia Personal Care Home on May 10th. Every AARP Chapter in the world holds this annual event on the same day for community service.

The residents of the facility were given red roses and a soft cuddly toy and the gifts were very well received.

AARP Chapter members attending this event were: Sharon Alphonse, Melva Estrada, Betty Carter, Willie Reynolds, Johnnie Grey, Johnnie Cooley, Monroe Cooley, Virgie Navo, Frank N. Egger, Mae Foster and Russell Foster. Brenda Hoda, administrator and Dana Hennessee, resident nurse were most appreciative to the local AARP Chapter.

Monday, May 14, 1:00 P.M. , First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall is the next meeting with Public Service Commissioner Leonard Bentz as the guest speaker, everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
