Tidal Rave makes spring splash

The Picayune Memorial High School’s Tidal Rave is fun. The show choir had their Spring Show Thursday night in the auditorium. If you weren’t there, you missed a real treat.
“Alleluia” in a capella began the program, and it was goose-bump good. The choir stood along the aisles and each singer was in perfect harmony.
The next juicy treat was a song arranged and directed by senior, Justin Bennett. “When You Say You Love Me” was his senior project and he, along with Tidal Rave, pulled it off very professionally. The duet was performed by Casey Ladner and Cynthia McDonald. A medley of “This is How a Heart Breaks” and “Heart Breaker” came next with Casey Ladner providing the solo.
An energetic number highlighted this group’s fitness in “Swing Street” and then Justin Bennett, Robert Brunson, and Kyle Ellis showcased “Come Sail Away.” Cody Guidry sang an excellent rendition of “Bad”. Another notable mention is Stephen Kelly’s solo in “Steppin’ To The Bad Side”.
The group did some fantastic quick costume changes. Along with the costumes, the choreography, the singing and the selection of songs made for a very entertaining evening. I highly recommend you make the effort to see them when they perform on May 4 at Jack Reed Park in the opening ceremonies of the Relay for Life American.
