Joseph D. Long, 74, of Picayune passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 in Slidell, La.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 1 pm at the New Palestine Cemetery, with The Rev. Bro. Bob Heustess officiating. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Long was a native of Denver, Colo. and was a manufacturer Rep.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mrs. Johnnie Long, of Picayune; seven children, David Long, Greg Long, Mike Long, Curtis Long, Wayne Long, Elizabeth Long Gibson and Barbara Long Kerkoff; two step children Tammy Conrad and Tim Conrad. His dad, Mr. Ed Copeland, Rifle, Colo., his former wife of 32 years, Barbara Joan Long. twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, One brother Charles Copeland, Ky., two sisters Myrtle Criswell, Kan. and Ann Cloud, Okla., Best family friends, Lee and Ruth Schubert.
