A Hattiesburg woman has been sentenced to life without parole for her involvement in the 2005 slaying of Stuart Milam.

Angela E. Rigdon, 36, appeared before Forrest County Circuit Judge Bob Helfrich on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to capital murder and a separate robbery charge. She was sentenced to 15 years on the robbery charge.

Her co-defendant in the case, Robert Wayne Bounds, 34, has already entered a plea to capital murder and is expected to be sentenced later this week, District Attorney Jon Mark Weathers said.

The body of Milam, whose throat was slashed, was found after a neighbor called police to report that Milam had not been seen for several days. Police believe Milam may have been dead for eight or nine days before his body was found at his home on July 18, 2005.

Bounds and Rigdon were arrested July 26, 2005, while in a Long Beach, Calif., hospital parking garage in a car that belonged to Milam.
