Athalee Pitre Scully

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Athalee Pitre Scully, 82, of Grovetown, Ga., who died March 2, 2007 in Grovetown.

Burial will be in the McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

Father Mike Synder will officiate at the service.

A native of Metairie since 1964, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Anthony League, and The American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Scully, Sr., and one sister, Sally P. Brady.

Survivors include: four children, Christopher Scully, Jr., Gregory Scully, Matthew Scully and Elizabeth Sass; four grandchildren, Cynthia Scully Merritt, Maura Scully Murry, Christopher M. Scully and Patrick Scully; five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Sophia Merritt and Rowen and Clayton Murray; one brother, John Pitre; three sisters, Elizabeth P. Heath, Barbara P. Pullen and Elaine P. Simmons.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 5, 2007 with recitation of The Rosary at the McDonald Funeral Home.
