Opening arguments have been rescheduled for Monday in the federal judicial bribery trial of Gulf Coast attorney Paul Minor and two former judges.

Arguments had been scheduled for Friday.

A jury comprised of eight women and four men was selected Tuesday to hear the case.

Minor is accused of using contributions and loans to influence the decisions of then-Circuit Judge John Whitfield and then-Chancery Judge Wes Teel. All have maintained they are innocent.

A jury in August 2005 acquitted them on some corruption charges but did not agree unanimously on others.

That jury acquitted state Supreme Court Justice Oliver Diaz Jr. on all charges. He also was acquitted in 2006 of separate charges of tax evasion.
