FBI arrests alleged gang leader in Hattiesburg

FBI agents and local law enforcement officers arrested an alleged gang leader Monday on a federal warrant.

Authorities detained Jeffrey Charles Brown, 36, at his home in Hattiesburg, Miss., according to an FBI statement released Tuesday.

Agents seized two semiautomatic pistols, four vehicles and almost $4,000 in cash during the arrest.

Brown, known as “Jabba,” was sought for a warrant issued in Mobile, Ala., for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. If convicted he could face life in federal prison and $4 million in fines.

According to the statement, Brown is an alleged leader of the black gangster disciples street gang in McLain.
