A Harrison County judge has ordered that evidence in a double homicide be presented to the next term of the grand jury.

County Judge Robin Midcalf on Wednesday also denied bond for Larry Tyrese Minter, 18, and Darryl Simmons, 17, both of Gulfport.

Minter and Simmons are among four teenagers charged with two counts each of capital murder in what police said began as a burglary on Dec. 15 at the Gulfport home of Harold “Bucky” Levron Jr.

Investigator Mark Clarite testified Wednesday that the defendants broke in to rob the home while Levron was away, but Levron returned home.

Christina Ann Suber-Smith, 38, a friend of Levron, dropped by and was sexually assaulted before she, like Levron, was fatally shot, Clarite said.

Both died of gunshot wounds in the head, said Coroner Gary Hargrove.

Police said the youths fled in Levron’s truck and were later arrested.

Minter is believed to be the one who shot them with the handgun Levron tried to pull out to protect himself, Clarite said.

Preliminary hearings are pending for co-defendants Junior Cleveland Green, 18, and Lazairian DeAngelo Murphy, 17, both of Gulfport. They remain in custody without bond.
