Memorial services were Saturday, Nov. 4, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, Texas for Owen Monette, 86, of Midland who died Nov. 1, 2006.

Arrangements were under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.

A native of Detroit, Mich., he was a WWII U.S. Air Force veteran, worked in automotive dealerships for 15 years, and was an Automotive Technology instructor until retirement in 1983 at Odessa College.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Monette.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Monette of Midland; a daughter, Suzette Watkins of Midland; two sons, Rene Monette of Houma, La., and Joseph Monette of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
