Memorial services are at 2 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for James Orlin Miller, Sr., 71, of Picayune, who died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in Slidell, La.

The Rev. R.T. Buckley officiates at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, he was a retired tool designer for Lockheed Martin and also worked for Ingalls Shipyard.

Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Miller of Picayune; four daughters, Brenda Miller Crucia of Slidell, Kipsy Miller of Mobile, Ala., Cynthia Giordano of Abita Springs, La., and Heidi Fortner of Picayune; a son, James Orlin Miller, Jr., of Slidell; two half-brothers, Hans Olavesen and John Edward Olavesen, both of Kenner, La.; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bruce William Bennett, Jr..

Visitation is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home.
