Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Steep Hollow Baptist Church for Bobby H. Sides, 66, of Poplarville, who died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport.

Bro. Shannon Marshall officiates at the service. Burial is in Steep Hollow Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home.

A native of Nauvoo, Ala., he was a retired offshore oil diver, a U.S. Army National Guard veteran and a member of Steep Hollow Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Derek Jarrett of Morgan City, La., and Jody Ard of Lake Arthur, La.; two daughters, Velvet A. Mendenhall of Mobile, Ala., and Heather Sides of Morgan City; two brothers, Kenneth R. Sides of Jasper, Ala., George T. Sides of Nauvoo; two sisters, Bonnie F. Castro of Mobile and Jackie S. Robinson of Lillian, Ala.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the church.
