Sheriff’s Department makes drug arrests

Two searches by Pearl River County Sheriff’s Dept. resulted in several drugs arrests last week

According to a press release, while on patrol Oct. 11 in the Nicholson Communiity, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Jackson Landing Road for careless driving. During the stop deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle they discovcred marijuana and cocaine in the vehicle. Deputies with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department arrested Ricardo Guzman, 23, of 22 Amigo Ln., and Darriel Bonsall, 21, of 125 Donald Penton Rd., on the charges of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, and possession of marijuana.

Both were charged with drug possession and transported to the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Center.

Responding to a neighborhood complaint on Oct. 13, deputies went to 106 Dove Ridge Rd., the release states. After the deputies obtained consent to search the residence, they discovered chemicals needed to manufacture methamphetamine. Deputies also discovered tubing, filters. and other items needed in the drug manufacturing process.

The deputies then arrested Zachery R. Jordan, 22, Ashley Stoelzner, 23, Catherine Hicks, 24, and Archie J. David, 33, all of 106 Dove Ridge Rd., Carriere. All of the suspects were charged with possession of precursor chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Deputies collected the evidence before transporting the suspects to the Pearl River County Justice Center.
