Ronald John (Ron) Cassagne

Services were at 11 a.m. Friday Oct. 20, in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune, for Ronald John Cassagne, 72, of Carriere, who died Tuesday Oct. 17, 2006.

The Rev. Father Michael Snyder officiates at the service. Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery 1:30 p.m. Monday Oct. 23, under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of New Orleans, he was railroad yard foreman, a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus #6872, member of United Transportation Union and served in the US Navy in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife Catherine Cassagne of Carriere; three sons Bryan Cassagne of Carriere, Bret Cassagne of Kocomo and Brad Cassagne of Carriere; two sisters, Mary Ann Prestenbach of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Karen LaCassagne of Mandeville, La.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation was 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday Oct. 20 in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Father Michael A. Leane Assembly 2227, P.O. Box 55, Picayune, MS. 39466.
