Picayune Goodwill, 115 Hwy 11 South, has initiated a truck pick up service for customers seeking to donate multiple large items. Donors can call the local store at 601-798-8677 any day of the week to schedule a pick up in the greater Picayune area. Actual home collections of the large donations will be on either a Wednesday or a Friday during the daylight hours.

“Regretfully the truck pick ups have to be limited to a large quantity of donations,” stated Picayune Store Manager Lynn Gain, “since the cost of running a truck pick up service is extremely high.” Small donations can be dropped off at the Picayune Hwy 11 location any day of the week during store hours.

Goodwill is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to offering job counseling, training and employment to persons with challenges to employment. The program is supported both through contract work and through the collection/sale of donated items. For over a hundred years, Goodwill Industries has offered its services to hundred of thousands of individuals throughout the world.

“Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi, established in 1974, “ said Manager Gain, “has plans to purchase a new Picayune location in order to expand its services even more to the people of the surrounding area. The next couple of months will see an even larger step toward offering more to the local community.”
