On Oct. 25, deputies were performing a traffic stop and driver’s license check at the intersection of Shawtown and Barth roads, according to a Sheriff’s Dept. release. A Toyota pickup truck driven by Christopher Thomas, 20, of 26751 Standard Dedeaux Rd., pulled up to the check point.
