A local boy died when a 4-wheeler he was riding flipped this past weekend.

The incident was reported to Pearl River County 911 dispatcher at about 11:49 a.m. this past Saturday by Donna Kerry, the boy’s the mother.

Donna Kerry told the dispatcher that her 11 year-old son, later identified as Brandon Kerry, had flipped his 4-wheeler, was not breathing and that CPR was in progress.

The Carriere Volunteer Fire Department, Sheriff’s Department and Emergy Stat Ambulance service responded to the call, but after Brandon Kerry was taken to Highland Community Hospital, he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.

The incident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
