Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Union Baptist Church in Clarke County for Claude H. “Sonny” Balaski, Jr., 64, of Meridian, who died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

The Revs. Davey Wilkinson and Dennis Ellingburg officiated at the service. Burial was in Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Barham Funeral Home.

He was retired from E.M.E.P.A., was an artist and was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include Ramona Balaski; a daughter, Kimberly Tibbetts of Quitman; two brothers, Dr. Phillip Balaski of Heidelburg and Timothy Balaski of Houston, Texas, and two grandchildren.

Visitation was 1:30-2 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Union Baptist Church music fund.
