Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6 at White Funeral Home for Obie Lee Freeman, 91, of Lumberton who died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Bro. Tommy Odom officiates at the service. Burial is in Lumberton City Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home.

A native of Altoona, Ala., he was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran, former administrator of the Lumberton and Poplarville hospitals, on the board of directors of Forrest General Hospital, a member of the VFW, American Legion, Lions Club, the Rotary Club and a member of 1st Baptist Church of Lumberton.

Survivors include three brothers, Samuel Freeman Jr., Connie B. Freeman, and Z.N. Freeman, all of Purvis; five sisters, Alene Brannen of Meridian, Irene Flynt of Clearwater, Fla., Elmay Cruise of Purvis, Tellie Davis of Arlington, Texas, and Loradell Nixon of Lake Jackson, Texas.

Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 5 at White Funeral Home.
