Some Highland Community Hospital female patients might have become confused when they called recently to schedule mammograms. This week, Highland Community Hospital was unable to perform mammograms because they were waiting on accreditation approval of the equipment used for mammograms.
Hospital director Mark Stockstill said patients may still call and schedule their mammogram appointments, but the staff will not be able to conduct mammograms until the hospital receives the proper approval. All other imaging equipment in the hospital was approved and is currently available.
