Vancleave man accused of molestation

AP

VANCLEAVE, Miss. Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Mick Sears says an 81-year-old man accused of molesting children allegedly used Tootsie Rolls and money to lure his victims into his home.

Malcolm Otis Fountain was arrested Saturday and charged with four counts of molestation of a child.

So far, Sears said, investigators have identified four victims, ranging in age from 5 to 10. Sears said the molestations allegedly occurred in the last few months in Fountain’s southwest Vancleave home after he used money and candy to persuade his apparent victims to come inside.

Sheriff’s detectives launched the investigation after relatives of the victims reported their suspicions.
