Frat appeals parent’s pull of charter

AP

STARKVILLE Kappa Sigma fraternity at Mississippi State University has appealed the revocation of its charter by the organization’s national office.

The organization’s Supreme Executive Committee in October revoked the charter for alleged alcohol violations at a Sept. 18 party.

Executive Director Mitchell Wilson said that the chapter filed an appeal this week. He says the request will be placed on the agenda for the Supreme Executive Committee’s January meeting in Los Angeles.

The MSU chapter has more than 100 members.
