Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 12 p.m. (Noon) at New Hebron Baptist Church. Pastor K. Martin Thomas Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in the Carriere Cemetary. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Noon).
David Fred was born April 3, 1953 to the late John Allen and Estella Jones of Carriere, Miss. On the evening of August 19, 2013, the Angel of Peace came to give him his final rest, at his home in Picayune, Miss.
A native of Carriere, David was a retired machine operator for Huey Stockstill. In his life, David was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a joyful and loving blessing to all the family.
David was happily married to Savannah Jones on April 18, 1992, four step-children were a part of this union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Estella Jones; his wife, Savannah Jones; one sister, Eunice Combest; one brother, Hayes Jones; step-mother, Vurdee Jones, and step-sister, Annie Henderson.
He leaves to cherish, a special niece, Janice Ulmer of Carriere, 3 sisters, Orangie Lee Smith and Ethel Lee Robinson, both of Carriere, Catherine Massey of Staten Island, NY; 3 brothers, John Jones, Jr. (Judy) of Chicago, Ill., Gregory Jones of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Roger Jones (Shirley) of New Orlenas, La.; 4 step-sisters, Charlene Arnold (Marvin), Alberta Parker, Maggie (Ovie) Buckley, and 1 step-brother, Charlie Buckley, all of Picayune, Miss;a brother-in-law, Jerry Combest, three aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special friend, Earnestine Breland of Picayune.
