Irma Carroll Kinchen, 79, of Carriere, Miss., went to be with her Savior while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
A native of Lee Road (Covington), La., she was a homemaker, loving mother, and devout Christian.
Memorable Verse: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me. Thou shalt stretch forth thine right hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” — Psalms 138:7-8
She was preceded in death by: her father, James W. Hunt; her mother, Mary Jane Sharp Hunt Rushing; her husband, Delmas Calvin Kinchen; her son, Olen Kinchen; and seven siblings.
She is survived by: Tim (Tammy) Kinchen, Darlene (Butch) Buras, Shirleen (Bob) Flowers, Mary Jane (Calvin) Shaneyfelt, Colleen (Dan) Rush, James Kinchen, Delma Kinchen, Mark (Rhonda) Kinchen, Ruth Lau, Darrell (Denise) Kinchen, Gloria (Mike) Wasmund, 27 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and her sister Oree “Sis” Galloway.
McDonald Funeral Home will host visitation from 6:-10 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013, and funeral services at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, in the chapel.
Interment will be in the Kinchen Family Cemetery, Albany, Louisiana, under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Her son, the Rev. Mark Kinchen, will officiate the services.
