Funeral Services for Dexter M. Macomber, 92, will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Bradley S. Aumann will officiate the service.
A native of Caro, Mich., he relocated to Picayune, Miss. 27 years ago. Dexter served in the United States Navy Air Corps where he was a Navy Pilot during WWII. After leaving the military, he worked for the Federal Government as a civilian. Dexter was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Macomber and Louise Fischer Macomber.
Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Grace M. Macomber; two daughters, Claudia Aston and husband Roy, and Marian Vasholtz and husband Gary; his step-daughter, Janice Delp and husband Bill; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his two sisters-in-laws, Tessie M. Montgomery and Carmella M. Kalaczynski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
