Funeral Services for Maxine Stewart Carroll , 87, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, were held Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roseland Park Baptist Church.
Visitation was Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial was in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Walt Barnes officiated the service.
A native of Picayune, Miss., she was a Teacher Assistant at Roseland Park Elementary. Maxine was an active member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family, church, and serving the students of Roseland Park Elementary, where her goal was to serve the students to the best of her ability, which she successfully did for 30 years. Maxine has been a blessing to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Clifton Stewart and Alice Stockstill Stewart; her husband, Rubin W. Carroll; and her sisters and brothers, Bonita Johnson, Dorothy Randall, Robert Stewart, and James Clifton Stewart.
Survivors include: her children, Wayne Carroll, Don Carroll and wife Susie, Kenny Carroll and wife Sylvia, Debbie Kennedy and Dianne Lee; 16 grandchildren: Joey, Jeff, Tammy, Scott, Todd, Keith, Ashley, Chad, Amber, Christina, Nikki, Lauren, Ory, Tabatha, Devin, and Tyler; 36 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her sister, Erma Tarantino.
