Earnest Louis Price was born March 18, 1953 in Picayune, Miss. He departed his earthly life on August 8, 2013 at Ochsner Medical Center-Northshore, Slidell, La. Louis joined Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at an early age. He attended George Washington Carver High School in Picayune. In his early years, Louis joined the Boy Scout Troop 485 under the leadership of the late Mr. Troy Foster, Sr. Louis exhibited total commitment and dedication and obtained Eagle Scout status; and later became Scout Master. He later joined the Picayune Police Department where he served from 1973-1978. Louis moved to Jackson, Miss., where he established and managed Price Security which consisted of 25 employees; his company was very successful. He also worked as a D.J. under the Sir Name “Al-Luv”. He had a deep passion for music. He played all the major night clubs in Jackson, and surrounding areas. He always maintained resilience and a deep desire to succeed. Louis has a “No-Fear” attitude realizing that fear and faith cannot co-exist. This would become instrumental in the later part of this life. As the years progressed and his relationship with God deepened, he was called to the ministry, this Ministry was shortened after experiencing a massive stroke, a year and a half ago. But he continued to study until his departure.

Louis leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Ricky (Sharika) Price and Louis (Joyce) Burnett; three daughters, Rashundrala (Keith) Spence, Jennifer Burnett and Anita Burnett; three brothers, Vernon Charles Price, the Rev. John W. Guy, Jr., and Leavern Guy.
