PICAYUNE — Funeral Services for Virginia Lee Pouncey , 83 of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Lee's Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. at her residence at 10123 Possum Fork Road, Leetown Community. Burial will be in Pouncey Family Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. A native of Leetown Community, Miss., she was a Commercial Loan Supervisor at First National Bank of Picayune for over 20 years. Virginia was a lifelong member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church in the Leetown Community. She taught children's choir at the church for over 40 years. Virginia was an avid tailor, and enjoyed knitting, crochet, embroidery, baking cakes for all occasions, and gardening. Virginia was loved by everybody who ever met her. She always had a smile on her face and something good to say about everybody. Virginia will be truly missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Archie L Lee and Vernice Stockstill Lee; her husband, Adron A. Pouncey Sr.; and her sisters, Floy Pearson and Pansy Louise Castelin. Survivors include: her children, Adron A. Pouncey Jr., Gail Massey and husband Gene, and Tim Pouncey; nine grandchildren, Joli, Dax, Archie, Grayson, Keli, Tim, Sarah, Russe, and Amanda; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lourinda Shoemaker and husband Richard.
