Wilsey Joseph Levron passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of Lois Vinot Levron and the late Flossie Martin Levron. Loving father of Wynona Beloso (Eddie), Lanelle Arceneaux (the late Felix Jr.), Deette Geraci (Barry), Durel Levron, Sr. and Levan Levron, Sr. (Joann). Stepfather of Vada Kahars (Donald) and the late Rene Vinot, III. Son of the late Caliste and Laurentine Naquin Levron. Brother of Viola Levron, Celina Hill, Theresa Couture, Marie Maxwell, Lelia Ann Knight, Dolores Assavedo, Thelma Lee, Philip Levron and the late Cecile Webb, Gloria McReynolds, Levest Levron, Lubet Levron, Joseph Levron and Norman Levron. Proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. Also survived and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Wilsey was born in Pointe-aux-Chenes in Terrebone Parish. He resided in St. Bernard Parish for 72 years and Picayune, Miss., for the past 7 years. Wilsey served in the United States Army during World World II and retired from Bergeron Industry in Braithwaite, La., as a carpenter foreman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, La., on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m.. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
