Frances W. Rutherford Crawley, 94, was born on November 29, 1918. She left this world to join her Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, March 25, 2013.
Frances was an educator for over 35 years. She worked as a Special Education teacher. She earned her Masters in Exceptional Education at the young age of 62. She always had the desire to learn.
Frances was an avid reader and gardener. She always had a book with her, sometimes two.
Frances was very active in her Church, Christ Episcopal, Bay St. Louis. She served as a Lay Reader and became a Pastoral Care Minister. She later joined St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Picayune, and served on the alter as a Lay Eucharist Minister.
She was preceded in death by: her first born, Michael Toxey Rutherford; as well as her first husband, Toxey Rutherford; and her second husband, Walter Crawley; and her parents, Will Frank Williams and Illa Mae Murphy Williams.
Survivors include: her son, William Lee Rutherford; her daughter, Robin Rutherford; her son, Patrick Murphy Rutherford and his wife Deborah; and three grandchildren, Rachael R. Rutherford, Laura L. Rutherford, and Blake M. Rutherford.
A very special thanks to the following caregivers: Kimberly, Pearl, Janie, and Jenni. Also her hospice ladies, Liz and Maxine.
Celebration of Life Services for Frances W. Crawley will be held at a later date.
