Hayes Jones

The Picayune Item

PICAYUNE Hayes Jones, 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 in Forrest General Hospital.

A native of Carriere, he was a retired construction worker for Bush Construction. He was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church.

Hayes is survived by: three sisters, Orangie Lee and her husband Lester Smith, Ethel Lee and her husband Willie Robinson, both of Carriere, and Catherine Massey of Staten Island, N.Y.; four brothers, John A. and wife Judy Jones, Jr. of Chicago, Ill., Gregory Eric Jones of Brooklyn, N.Y., Fred David and his wife Savannah Jones of Picayune, and Roger and his wife Shirley Jones of New Orleans, La.; four step-sisters, Charlene and her husband Marvin Arnold, Alberta Parker, Annie and her husband Neal Henderson, and Maggie and her husband Ovie Buckley and one step-brother, Charlie and his wife Ruby Buckley, all of Picayune.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. in New Hebron Baptist Church in Carriere. Burial will be in the Carriere Cemetery.

The Rev. George Tillman will officiate at the services.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 1 p.m. until service time at New Hebron Baptist Church.

Brown’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
