Diane Nitz Songy

PICAYUNE — Diane Nitz Songy, 61, of Picayune, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Slidell Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 12 noon at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Phillip Deogracias officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 2, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at Picayune Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Diane, a native of Detroit, Michigan, moved to Picayune from Chalmette, Louisiana five years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune.

She is survived by: her mother, Ouigi Nitz of Picayune; her husband, Jerry Songy of Picayune; four daughters, Tiffany Barlett of St. Bernard, La., Brandy Martinez of Picayune, Angela Mones of Picayune, and Rhonda Barlett of New Orleans, La.; one brother, Larry Gauthe of Hawaii; one sister, Bobette Gauthe of New Orleans; and five grandchildren, Colby Barlett, Bryce Mones, Mallarie Torres, Jannings Martinez, and Dawson Martinez.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
