George W. Rester, Jr.

POPLARVILLE — Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 12 p.m. at White Funeral Home of Poplarville for George W. Rester, Jr., 77, of Poplarville, who passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Pearl River County Nursing Home. Interment will be at Lee Cemetery No. 1.

Mr. Rester was a member of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George W. Rester, Sr. and Idell Tyner Rester.

Survivors include: four sons, Mike Rester, Randy Rester, Curtis “Dinker” Rester and Dale Rester, all of Poplarville; two sisters, Dorothy Archer of Poplarville and Vivian Smith of Lumberton; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Poplarville.
