Clyde Raymond Shaw

POPLARVILLE Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Necaise, Miss., for Clyde Raymond Shaw, who passed away at his home on Thursday, July 24, 3008. He was 76.

Mr. Shaw was born in Pearl River County on December 14, 1931, to the late Ellis “Mutt” Shaw and Idalia Smith Shaw. He served his country in the U.S. Army, where he received an honorable discharge in 1954, and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by: one brother, Aubrey Shaw; two sisters, Agnes Shaw Nelson and Rita Ann Seals; and one son, John “Hog” Shaw.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Mary Vondell Courtney-Shaw; two sons, Raymond D. Shaw and his wife, Lesa, of Necaise and Quinton Shaw of Steep Hollow, Miss.; three grandchildren, Johnathan Shaw and his wife, Angela; Kyle Shaw and his wife, Trina; and Kira Shaw-Barrett and her husband, Wesley, all of Necaise; and one great-grandchild, Tucker Shaw of Necaise.

Visitation will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Necaise on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. until time of services.

White Funeral Home of Poplarville is in charge of the arrangements.
