PICAYUNE —
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Myrtle Adelle Frierson, 85, of Picayune who passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 in Picayune.
Burial will be in the Turtleskin Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Sonny Blye will officiate at the service.
A native of Picayune, she was a Wal-Mart Greeter and a member of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Annie Kellar; her husband, Lavell Frierson; two sisters, Lavonne McCarty and Ethel Frierson; and two grandchildren, Shane Frierson and Brittany Strain.
Survivors include: her children, Joy Thomas of Picayune, Don Frierson (Elizabeth) of Picayune, Steve Frierson of Picayune and Debbie Strain of Picayune; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Mitchell of Pearlington, Miss., Nell Smith of Texas and Shirley Holden of Metairie, La., and one brother, C.H. Kellar of Pearl River, La.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
