George E. Moore, Sr.

PICAYUNE — Graveside services will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the New Palestine Cemetery for George E. Moore, Sr., 70, of Picayune who passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Picayune.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

The Rev. Buddy Sheriff will officiate at the service.

A native of Ruleville, Miss., he was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. He worked as a General Foreman for Brown and Root.

He was preceded in death by: one son, James Craig Moore (Jamie); two brothers, Charles Moore and John Scott Moore.

Survivors include: his wife, Marolyn Damery Moore; three sons, George Moore, Jr. and Roy Moore both of Picayune, and Brian S. Moore of Carriere; two brothers, Harold Moore of Grande Hills, La., and Billy Ray Moore of Marrero, La.; two sisters, Dr. Betty Moore Meecham of Dallas, Texas and Ruth Ann Barrs of Cochran, Ga.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.
