Inez Slade Woo

PICAYUNE — Inez Slade Woo, 84, of Picayune passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Highland Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Wayne Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Sycamore Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, May 16 from 6-9 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home.

Ms. Inez, a former resident of New Orleans, was a stewardess in the Merchant Marines and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Tommy Woo; and sisters, Grace Desantis, Ruth Mitchell and Virginia Mattock.

She is survived by: her son, William Boyd Lumpkin, III of Bogalusa, La.; two brothers, C.W. Jarrell of Bogalusa, and Willie Ray Jarrell of Huntington, Texas; one sister, Yvonne Creel of Bogalusa, and “Prince”.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home and Crematory.
