The Picayune Item
An officer on patrol on Aug. 17 recognized a driver known to have an outstanding warrant with the Picayune Police Department and conducted a traffic stop.
After the traffic stop at South Blanks Avenue and East Canal Street and confirming with dispatch that the warrant was still outstanding, “the officer could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle,” said Jeremy Magri, assistant to the chief of police.
