The Picayune Item
September is National Preparedness Month and while most articles about being prepared in Southern Mississippi are about hurricane preparedness, you can be prepared for more than hurricanes.
For example, carrying your trusty fishing pole in your car at all times in case you get stuck on a bridge and have a couple of hours to kill. That was the scene on the Bonnet Carre Spillway a few weeks ago in New Orleans when an accident shut down the two-lane roadway for a few hours.
