The Picayune Item
The Picayune Housing Authority Board of Commissioners has received notice that it can proceed with a patio doors replacement project that has been on the agenda for several months.
Starting in October, contractors will begin removing the sliding glass doors at the 50 units for elderly residents and replacing them with more secure aluminum doors. The doors will have lights on the side to create a safer environment for the tenants, said Sherry LaVigne, executive director of the Picayune Housing Authority at Monday afternoon’s meeting.
