The Picayune Item
Crews last week worked on installing a new barricade at the park and bridge near the Daniels Road park extension. The barricade is only one of the projects the Picayune Public Works Department has made using grant money from the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation.
The Public Works Department has installed a new picnic table and added some trash cans along with the new barricade. The barricade is to prevent cars that are traveling down the road from driving into the creek that the wooden foot bridge was built over, said Eric Morris, public works director.
